Deployable Panel

Overview

A couple of curved tape spring concept are adopted for the design of a reliable hingemechanism implemented for the opening of a satellite cover.


The simplicity of this concept ensures a full deployment of the panel and enaught structural rigidity to avoid any interference with the satellite attitude control.


The opening mechanism consists on a hold down and burn wire system integrated with the panel.​​
